Un Dio senza eserciti (A God without armies)

"UN DIO SENZA ESERCITI" ("A GOD WITHOUT ARMIES")

Religious intolerance, which often spills over into terrorism, murder, and persecution, fails in its task because it fails to completely reduce the reasons of faith to propaganda, which recognize no boundaries and speak to humanity, to its most ultimate and profound dimension. Persecutions—as emerges from the research contained in this book and conducted by the Volocom Institute of Strategic Studies—are not the result of theological or doctrinal disagreements, but are fueled by political interests and the exploitation of faith.

From this perspective, religious institutions, young people, and civil society organizations must work together to create spaces for dialogue and platforms for constructive discussion. Religions, if freed from the burdens of fanaticism and political exploitation, can become powerful vehicles of peace and reconciliation. Likewise, those who do not adhere to a religious faith must be able to see the value of cooperation and solidarity as the foundation of a just and peaceful society.

The final message, therefore, is not just one of hope, but of concrete action: change starts with each of us, with how we choose to see others, with how we choose to listen and understand before judging. A better world is not only possible, but it's in our hands. And God, of course, doesn't need an army!

Minors and AI Book

I MINORI E LE SFIDE DELL'AI (MINORS AND THE CHALLENGES OF AI)

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence no longer allows us to pause and reflect on the consequences of this progress. There are significant ethical implications, there are repercussions that will affect the world of work, there are strongly positive aspects and others that we should instead reflect on. The relationship between artificial intelligence and minors, for example, or better yet, the relationship between minors and artificial intelligence: are there firm barriers that need to be established to avoid exceeding certain limits? There is a broad movement around the world calling for a "safe Internet" for young people. Now we need to think about something specific about artificial intelligence.
This study by the Volocom Institute of Strategic Studies is a first step in this direction: starting from the media coverage (as discussed in recent months in print and online), the study offers commentary and analysis, but above all, suggestions and indications of possible paths forward: this revolution must be an essential resource for minors.
But what do children think? We asked fourth and fifth graders, and here are their answers...
